MacCat 2.3ci, What Gas and Oil Needed

Can not find manual for McCulloch MacCat 2.3ci chainsaw. I need to know:
1) the kind of gas and oil to mix for fuel, and ratio of gas to oil
2) looks like there is a separate place for oil too (for the chain?). What kind of oil goes in there?
thanks

most older ones take a 32:1 ratio, make sure to get oil mix for air cooled, not water cooled 2 cycles....... the self contained measure what ratio you need universal 2 cycle mixes are alright. just use regular gas..... get a one gallon gas can, and mix that with the ratio of oil, now someone else would know more specifically on the ratio, some took 40:1. as for the chain, bar and chain oil...... sold at lots of places.

the oil determines the ratio. echo and stihl oils are 50:1 some shindaiwa is 40:1
buy a quality oil from a two stroke mfg. i don't like oil comany oils like valvoline, etc. a good oil is optimol. 1.8 oz per gallon , very low smoke. most quality oils also contain a fue stabilizer. the main thing is once you pick an oil ratio tune the carb for that ratio. changing from 40:1 to 50:1 doesn't make much difference but from 40:1 to optimol's apx 80:1 you will see performance changes
