Tecumseh snow king 1628 (3hp) spark plug

Hi, I've had this snow thrower apart for quite some time now and I cannot find the spark plug that I took out. Can anyone please tell me what the proper plug is for this engine? Also if someone can tell me if this is HSK600 or a TVS or whatever. Thanks

Well, you have conflicting information provided. If it is a "Snow King" Tecumseh engine, then it would be a HSK-series engine. If the "1628" portion is correct, then it can't be a Snow King since there is no HSK600 with a spec. number of 1628. If it is in fact a three horse AND the 1628 is correct (which I believe you have), then you have a AH600-1628 Tecumseh engine. Whether it be the AH or HSK series engine, you will use a Champion CJ8Y spark plug.

The reason I mentioned "snow King" is because that is what is on the keys for the engine shut off So I assumed it was a Snow King engine. I found no other # on the engine but the 1628 on the Aluminum tag and on the flywheel cover. Thanks for the info

From what I researched on your number, it is probably an AH600-1628
The 1628 number is good in the Tecumseh 2 cycle mech manual. The plug for it should be (champion) RCJ-8Y
Hope this helps.
