Craftsman Strater Rope replacemenmt

I have a Craftsman trimmer, model 358.795560. I need to replace the starter rope. I have everything off the unit with the exception of the final plastic cover. It appears that the end of the shaft must be removed to get the cover off and I can't determine how to do that. Any suggestions?

sometimes the handle will cover what holds the engine shroud, to the shaft

Sorry punta, I missed this thread. In the center of the clutch drum is a screw. Generally, either a T-20 Torx or a 5/32" Allen driver is required. You will need to stuff a good amount of starter rope in the spark plug hole to act as a piston stop in order to turn this screw out.
