Stihl Blower SH85 Fuel Primer
Hi
I have been given a Stihl sh85 blower from a friend but for some reason no fuel will go in to the fuel primer when you press the button. i have replaced the primer and the hose down to the fuel tank and still nothing, does any one have any ideas

Sounds like you need to take the carburetor apart and clean it. The primer check valves are in the carburetor. Unless you have a restricted fuel filter, or cracked lines, then the carb is probably clogged. I assume it has been stored for some time with no use?

further to your advice i have since found that its creating pressure in the fuel tank making it hard to get the fuel cap off

the cap becames under pressure when i use the manual fuel pump, which is not filling with fuel so starving the carb
