Question Stihl Blower SH85 Fuel Primer

I have been given a Stihl sh85 blower from a friend but for some reason no fuel will go in to the fuel primer when you press the button. i have replaced the primer and the hose down to the fuel tank and still nothing, does any one have any ideas

did you replace the fuel line with a stihl part #? some fuel lines use a check valve inline or within the fuel filter.

Sounds like you need to take the carburetor apart and clean it. The primer check valves are in the carburetor. Unless you have a restricted fuel filter, or cracked lines, then the carb is probably clogged. I assume it has been stored for some time with no use?

pressure or a vacuume? the cap lets air in, no air out, might try a new cap.
