Question NEED HELP Replacing engine stop/control cable on Murray Lawnmower

THe cable broke on the inside and I cant figure out how to take off the end that hooks onto the lawn mower, cuz its a wierd squared off round connector that seems to require some special tool to take it off or something

Here is a pic of something kind of similar although it doesnt have the rounded end I mentioned

anyone have an idea what im talking about and how to fix it, its getting warm already in TX and I hate having to get my lawnmower fixed every year it seems. I'd like to fix it myself.

Remove the cable from the handle first. This will relieve the pressure on the cable. Then, use a pair of needle nose pliers to squeeze the tabs on the squared end of the connector at the engine end, and pull it out of the hole. This will remove the cable.
