Oil to gas ratio question

just got a new gas blower ans the ratio is 40:1 but my gas trimmer ratio is 32:1. What would be any issues if I split the difference with at 36:1 ratio or do I have to have 2 seperate gas can mixes for the two.

You shouldn't have any issues with splitting the difference... But the trimmer will get a clogged spark arrestor quicker, easily removed and cleaned or left out. I'd run 32:1 in both though.....

What if it is 40:1 for the blower and 50:1 for the trimmer?

If your just wandering around the yard, cleaning up with the trimmer like I do, run them both 40:1. The blower only works hard enough to blow air, but the people that make the trimmer think you're cutting trees down, & want more oil! Light duty, 40:1 will be O.K. in a trimmer
