replacing mtd transaxle

How difficult a task is replacing the transaxle on a huskee(mtd) riding mower. The mower is six years old and something came loose in the transaxle and broke a piece off of the housing. I'm thinking of buying a new housing and replacing it. It is a single speed shift on the go transaxle.

It shouldn't be hard, but pay attention to each spring and bracket to be sure you get them back where they go when you go back together. If you have a digital camera, it might help to take pics before tearing it down to help you remember. It's not hard, but you might want a helper, especially when you put it back in.
