Cub Cadet 1170 won't start
Please help, I have purchased a used cub cadet 1170 from and auction. I have tried to get it to start but have not been able to. I replaced gas and plugs and tried to start but will only turn over until battery dies. Tried starting fluid but it just pops and shoots out flame. Any suggestions to how I can get started.

The popping sounds like its getting atleast some spark but probablly weak... I'd still check that.... also don't keep turning it over or you might burn up the starter. Auctions mean trouble to me.... You probablly have a gummed up or full of trash carb, which would require a rebuild wil a rebuild kit, soak in carb cleaner for a few hours and compressed air to blow it out good. I'd also check the compression to see what your dealing with.
