Question Lawn Boy Starter Cord Replacement

I need help. My starter cord frayed and snapped. I have new length of cord but cannot figure out how to get into the reel housing to attach the cord and wind it on the spool. All plastic guards removed. The reel is attached with 4 or 5 rivet. How do you replace the cord?

Pull the entire piece off, not just the riveted part, but the whole engine shroud. Then, remove what's left of the old rope, wind the spool up, insert new rope and tie knot and let it rewind the new cord into the spool.
