Angry woman needs a mans knowhow with stupid weedwacker

after turning off my weedeater fl 20 cc, later trying to pull start it, the string won't come out.I opened it up, and seems like the screw holding the string from the inside it hitting ...Can anyone help please!

No warrenty, I either call it a loss or try to fix it myself...No man around here to help.

I'm not sure what screw you're describing. The one in the center of the spool? What does it look like it's hitting against?

me

the screw holds the end of the string to the spool, it hits the two metal levers that can move ...the screw and levers face each other when put back together....if that helps..

Ok, I know what screw you're talking about. Problem is, even if that screw was hitting those "levers" (ratchet pawls), the engine would still turn over, and the cord would come out.

With the pull rope assembly removed, can you turn the engine by hand?
