Push mower surging
Hi, I've got a MTD/BS Model #123K02 push mower. Ran fine yesterday cutting tall grass. Today, won't start. I use the primer bulb, starts then dies. If I push the primer just before it dies it'll keep running. I do that untill it warms up enough to stay running, but it surges. Seems to clean up when into tall stuff or under load. Changed the plug, air filter, oil and drained-replaced gas. Seems like a fuel problem, but what do I check next. My manual says possibilities are; vent in gas plugged, but I have no idea where that is. (no pictures) Fuel line is clear, don't see a filter. Help please.

The gas cap has the built in vent, the fuel filter is most likely a mesh screen in the tank at the fuel outlet. It sounds like the carb needs a good cleaning, you may get it going by doing a quick tear apart and blow out (all the holes you see) good with carb cleaner.
