power washers
my deck needs a power washing badly - i can rent a power washer, but also thought about purchasing:
i saw an adv for a power washer with @ 1500psi for $150;
other tools with @ 2500psi went for $300 and up;
i also have a ryobi trimmer that has the interchangeable attachments - a power washer attachment may be available for that, but i'm unsure and don't know the psi or price etc)
... anyway, any recommendations, minimum force needed to do a decent job, etc...?
thanks.

First, I suggest that you re post this in the Decks, patios, porches and docks forum.
Second, while a power washer is fast, high pressure and / or mishandling will quickly eat the heartwood out of your deck leaving a very rough and unsightly surface. I made that mistake once. Now I use environmentally safe chemical washes. Work great and don't destroy the deck.
