Angry Craftsman mower carb linkage problem

Model 917382770; engine 143.954002. I thought I'd remember the linkage config, but can't now. Where does the long rod, attach? I thought it would go in the nylon governor hole, but that is very small and the angle seems wrong. Is there a schematic or picture somewhere?
Many thanks.

Check http://www3.sears.com for an exploded view of your engine. It may help with the configuration.

Question Carb linkage...

Thanks.
The only pic there is the entire mower and the engine block.
I could not locate the carb even. Any other suggestions?

Generally, there is a linkage going from the throttle shaft on the carb to the governor arm. Try flipping the link end for end and see if it looks better. Any other linkages? Springs?
