Who made my Sears weedwacker?

Is there any way to find out the original manufacturer of my Sears Pro weedwacker. The model number is 316.795110. It's gas powered with a 23cc two stroke motor. I'd like to know the manufacturer to purchase spare parts. Thanks.

You should be able to get spare/replacement parts directly from Sears.

Ryobi / MTD. Although you can get all parts from sears (check out www3.sears.com and enter 316.795110) if some of the parts are used on ryobi and mtd weedwackers, you can give the sears part # to your local small engine dealer and they might be able to get it. I have a sears weedwacker that is made my poulan and i needed a new gas cap. My dealer had it.
