john deere js64 push lawn mower problem

I have a john deere push lawn mower just died on me few days ago it is new one, i will say 2 years old top.I've changed the spark plug but no go,any sugestions please help before i get burried in the grass.

Check the oil.... is it full?
Have you tested for spark?
And of course you havn't hit anything with it?

it has to be geting gas and spark..wet plug dry plug..hold the end of the plug,against the head of the lawnmower,get some one to try and start it so you can see if its geting spark.geting fire put plug back in and take air filter off.pour a little bit of gas in.try and start it.if it runs,it may be a gas problem.if not it may be a timing problem.hit anything with the blade.some magnitos have aluminum shear pins.thats about all i got
