They used to rate cars by cubic inches, now it's liters.
Good old metric system. a 35 cc weed whacker sounds good. If it was rated at 2.14 cubic inches you might laugh at such a small motor, but they are the same.

All two cycle equipment now have a durability rating , lets say an Echo 3201 line trimmer will have a stick usually on the clutch housing which gives a durability rating of 300 Hr`s

cc = cubic centimeter = (1) milliliter, therefore 1000 cc motor is = to 1 liter motor.

What does cc stand for

The cc is a measure of volume (cubic centimeter). For engines, it is a measure of the size of the engine.

In round numbers, 1000 cc's is 1 liter.

Divide cubic inches by 60 to get liters. Multiply liters by 1000 to get ccs.

A 350 cubic inch engine is also a 5.7 liter (350/60 is about 5.7)

A 3.8 liter engine is about 238 cubic inches.
