Fuel tube installation

Does anyone know the secret to installing a fuel pick-up tube on a pulsa-jet briggs carburetor. I've tried boiling the end in hot water...but doesn't help a whole lot.

I think those carbs are very inexpensive but that wasnt the question, in the old day you would put the body in the hot water for expansion and the tube in the freezer to retract, worked with rods and wrist pins, so maybe give that a try. Have a nice day. Geo

Is it on a horizontal engine? I usually have success with a good tight grip, some pressure, and a twisting motion. Maybe I've just been lucky, or have a strong grip, lol!
