Mc Cullough promac 510 chain saw repair problem

Have replaced coil , condenser and points. Mags in fly-wheel seem strong , kill switch is fine . Problem--- still no fire . Point settings fly-wheel to mag setting or any suggestions please This is driving me crazy Thanks

woodguy,

Remove the kill wire from the coil and switch. Now, give it a try. Sometimes the wire can have nick that arks.....!

You should be able to get the point gap from the store where you bought them.

But if you can't come with the exact specs for that saw, use .014 for the point gap and about.010 for the coil gap at the flywheel. The latter doesn't have to be as exact as the point gap.

If you still have no spark, check to make sure you haven't grounded the condenser wire at the points.
