dayton gen.w/ 5h.p. b&s engine

dayton gen.w/ 5h.p. b&s engine

anyone tell me how i can seperate the gen. from engine, armature connected to crankshaft but can't see how connection, wether by key or? it's an older model. 5w262. HELP!!!! THANX IN ADVANCE

The crankshaft is most likely tapered, and is held to the armature by a bolt from the other end of the armature.

could u tell me how is good way to seprate the 2 parts,i have the long bolt out now & soak w/ wd 40. again, i do thank u.

Usually a shock will separate the two. Use a block of wood or brass pin and a hammer to "shock" it near the joint while pulling back on the armature.
