Starter spinning after start

I have a JD110 with a 17.5 hp Kohler engine and I'm having trouble with the starter. The solenoid engages and disengages properly but the starter motor itself continues to spin after I start it, and even after I shut the mower off. The only way I can get it to stop is to "bump" the ignition without giving it time to restart itself. Has anybody ever run into this sort of problem before? Any suggestions?

Apparently the solenoid is not disengaging properly. This would be because either the solenoid is bad (sticking on) or the keyswitch is sticking. Probably the solenoid.
