What gas-powered weed trimmer do you recommend?

My Homelite finally has too many things wrong with it to make it worth fixing. I has worked great for at least 15 years.

Is there a make/modely that you have had success with?

I would be great, but it's not a necessity, for it to have a 'thick weed' cutting wheel that can be installed in place of the trim line.

thanks.

If I had to buy a new one, I think I'd go for an echo. Stihl and Husquvarna are also among my favorites. Robin is good, but harder to find a dealer for.

God bless!

Shindaiwa. Little bit more $ but you get what you pay for. If you want a good trimmer that will last you many years, get a Shindaiwa.
