Smile YardMan Riding Mower

Well, finally got the thing started. Put it in gear and the wheels will not turn (forward or reverse). Do I now have a transmission problem? The brake appears to be off. Is there anything I can check before resorting to a repair person?

W/ no info at all in your thread I have to guess. Is the transmission drive belt on both engine and trans pulleys? We need more info to help you.

If the motion drive belt is on both the stack pulley (under the engine) and the transmission pulley and turning.check the axle keys under each wheel rem.most takes both wheels pulling in the same direction to move.(if one key is sheard or missing it wont move at all)

if trans.pulley is turning,but axles isn't.....then check pinon gear inside transmission (right under the pulley)
