Craftsman snowblower auger

I have a Craftsman 5 horse snowblower that only one of the two primary augers is working. Anyone have any thoughts on what is preventing the left primary auger from spinning?

With engine off and plug wire disconnected, I would try to hand turn both augers. If the good one has a drag, and the bad one does not, I would be looking for a thrown or broken drive belt.

You have a broken shear bolt.

I agree that your problem is likely a shear bolt.
Do not replace it with a normal bolt, even temporarily.

A co-worker loaned his 10 hp Craftsman blower to his brother last week.
He hit a step when getting too close to the house and broke the shear pin.
Replaced it with a bolt, hit the same step and took out the bearing housing for the auger.
Could have been worse because normally the gear box breaks.
