Starter Mount

Hello I have a Teu 8hp side shaft Hsmk80 or something like that. My problem is the bottem right bolt hole on the engine block that the starter mounts on has broke and now I am stuck pull starting this beast. Short of replaceing the block is there anything I can do to fix this problem.

Doesn't this starter mount with 4 bolts? If so, the remaining 3 will probably hold well enough. You may be able to drill a small hole in the broken bolt and use an easy out to remove it...or use a left hand twist drill to try to drill it and unscrew it, or drill the entire bolt out and install a helicoil.

Yes it does mount with 4 bolts but the started doesn't engage the flywhel if this or the other bottem bolt is of for some reason. I was thinking of filling it in and retaping it with some sort of liquid steel.
