Battery Voltage

My Craftsman Riding Mower Model#917271024 With 15.5 H.p. Kohler Engine Won't Start. I Jumped It And It Ran Fine For One Lap Around The Yard Then Died. There'e No Spark At All And I Figure It Should Have Recharged To Some Degree. I Want To Put It On A Charger Overnight But I Can't Find My Manual And Sears Couldn't Help Either...I Just Need To Know The Voltage Of The Battery. Thanks.

Your battery would be a standard 12 volt battery. If it was not removed from the machine last fall, charged and put away, it may have died over the winter. It may or may not take a charge now but you can try it. Your engine should also have a charging circuit. If you have a tester, the engine alterator should put out 3 amps or so.
