homelite chainsaw

I have a Homelite XL12 20" chainsaw that I bought around 1980. When I am cutting something where I must turn it on its side, like a stump, it stops cutting. The motor continues but the blade seems to jam up, until I remove it from the stump then it continues on. Also, it's a manual oiler and the oil line is clogged. How can I fix this machine?

I would think you're about due for a new bar and chain and possibly a clutch sprocket. And that oiler line needs to be cleaned out, (with compressed air?), or replaced.
