Ryobi Chainsaw

I have a Ryobi chainsaw that I used just yesterday to cut down 90% of a tree in front of my house. I have put in more fuel, I have checked the air filter and it is free of debris and white, almost appearing new, have turned the idle screw clockwise and my chainsaw will start, but will only run for 3 - 5 seconds and then cut off. It is not flooded. Does anyone have any suggestions? The chainsaw is only 1 year old. I have read about spark plug gap and carburetor adjustment, any ideas.

There are several things that could be wrong, but most likely it's a fuel related problem...something in the carburetor. Inspect the fuel lines from the carb to the tank and the primer if equipped. Make sure there are no cracks in the lines or the primer. If not, you'll probably have to remove the carb and disassemble/clean it out.
