What transmission oil do I need?

What transmission oil do I need?

Its a craftsman hydrostatic thats about 3 years old and Im putting new seals in because it leaked. The tractor model # is 917.270821 and the transaxle model # is 319-650. Also does anyone know how much oil to put in? Thanks alot for all the help.

If nobody knows otherwise Im going to put 20W-50 motor oil in it.

I sure don't know. Some do take 20-50. Some take a lightweight oil like Deere's Hyguard made for hydro trannies. I tend to think your's will take the 20-50, but I don't know on that tranny.

I finaly got ahold of someone at sears and it is 20w-50 motor oil.
