Carb linkage help on 8HP Briggs
Model 195432
Type: 0280
Bought this motor with incorrect Carb. mounted on it.
I have put the correct carb assembly back on but all I have for linkage is:
- Slide assy. bracket (the remote throttle cable hooks up to this)
- Governor arm and 1 long linkage rod and 1 short spring
I can assume that the long linkage rod goes between the Carb and the Governor arm, and the spring should attach to the throttle slide mechanism.
But where(in what hole) I don't know.
Also I think I am missing some other linkage pieces.
Any help appreciated.

If you go to the briggs site, http://www.briggsandstratton.com/display/router.asp?DocID=64103
use your model # to find the "Owners Manual" 270367 (Out of Print, .pdf) it has a section on the govenor and adjustments along with some illustration that may help.

5hp briggs with new springs and no place to put them!!!
is there any way to get a diagram to tell where the gov springs are supposed to go? we just bought a gocart for my 10tr old. the guy i bought it from said that one broke off, so I went to briggs website and found that there were 2 sprigs missing. I bought both( gov springs) but the web site had no diagram that shows where the springs actually attach.
