troy built string trimmer

this trimmer is one that takes straight gas no oil mixing.. its the second year im using it. new plug new gas and cleaned filter.. it run for a while then stoped cant get it to start.. any help..thanks

Have you checked anything yet? Remove the spark plug, connect it to the plug wire and let the other end of the plug touch metal on the trimmer engine, and pull the rope while watching for spar at the plug. Post the results and we'll know if this is a fuel or ignition related problem.

i got it runing cleaned the plug and filter starts every time. . now the drive cable is broke.. worked a few minuts and broke.. looks like a cable for a speedometer..
