Push lawn mower will not start

It started for 10 minutes and then stopped. I realised there was too much oil in it, so I removed the oil by lifting the mower on it's side and than replaced with brand new oil SAE 30.. But it still wont start... I tried cleaning the spark plug but that didn't do it.. any idea what I could do?

It's a Murray and the model number is 22315X8A

Thanks, Alex

Have you checked for compression-and spark at the spark plug terminal. If it 's getting spark, put a little gas into the spark plug hole, replace the pluk, try cranking again. If it cranks and dies gas isn't getting all the way through th carburetor, you'll have to soak/clean it and prob. put a kit in it.

If you had too much oil in it you probably saturated the air filter. remove the air filter and try to start it, if it works replace the air filter with a cleaned or new one. Have a good one. Geo
