Need advice on hydrostatice drive

Hi

I was wondering if anyone could give me an opinon on wether it is worth it or not to have the hydrostatic drive on my yard amchine rebuilt or should I consider a new tractor? Not relizing it this spring when I took the tractor out the hydrostatic drive had leak over the winter. It sounded fine and ran fine for a couple of hours. then it started makeing a grinding noise and now has stop moving almost completly. I added 20/50 oil and changed the drive belt so I dont think there is anything else to try.

Anyway, my questions is what should it cost to rebuild roughly or even replace new?

Is it worth it to have it rebuilt. the tractor is a 2000 16.5 yard machine.

Thanks opinons appreciated.

Post your model number of your tractor and we can find out the type of hydro you have. Then we can tell if it would be cost effective to repair/replace. I am thinking it should be cheaper to fix your tractor then to buy a new one, but can't tell for sure.
