Craftsman mover deck hits front wheel

At the end of last year I had to relevel the mower deck on my Craftsman LT1000 mower (model 917.271910). After releveling the deck, the mower cut fine. However, the left front wheel would hit the mower deck if you made a fairly hard left turn. Has anyone else had this problem and how do I fix it?

Look to see if the axle is bent.

Yep, usually this is caused by a bent front axle or drag link.

I had a similar problem. Upon further inspection I found the front hanger bars were bent. This pulls the deck out of alignment. Check and be sure they hanging straight down, not bent to one side. I have big roots in my yard and once in awhile I'll hit one. Those bars don't bend easily either. I had to straighten mine with a mallet and a 2x4.
