huskee w/14.5 hp briggs twin vangaurd. won't start unless i put hand over the carb intake. Could the choke be bad? It is closing all the way.

When you put your hand over the carb intake you are in essence acting as a giant choke. If it starts with your hand over the intake I think you are not getting enough fuel flow. I don't know your engine and need model numbers and what not to look up what you have but I doubt your choke is bad. After it starts does it keep running as normal?
