Having just cleaned my carb and wanting to set it at the most correct adjustment can anyone give me a step by step approach for the best result? Thanks for the help.

open about 2 turns (should be enough to run if not open more)and run engine after warming, at full throttle slowly turn in until engine starts to stammer then open back about 1/4 turn, it's mostly by ear, the engine should be able to accelerate from idle to full throttle without hesitation,if hesitation is there try opening another 1/8 turn. these adjustments should be made with the air cleaner on.

You indicated not which engine you have on yours but it could be either a Briggs or a Kawasaki. In either case though you will have only one adjustment (aside from the idle speed adjusting screw) and it will be the idle fuel adjustment screw and you will start with this out 1 1/4 turns from seated. The main jet in each engine is a fixed jet - no adjustment!
