I have (stupidly) dis-assembled my start cord mechanism - it would pull out but not retract. Now I have f9ound the long spring coil !!. How do I get it back the spring coil back in....? And how can I ensure that he start cord will retract this time - maybe I didn't need to take the whole thing apart to fix the start cord !!
Thanks
Bill

Well, you don't really have to go that far into it to fix the rope, but now that it;s the way it is, you'll have to wind up the spring (takes care and strong hands), put it back in place in the correct orientation so that it winds the rope up, and make sure the ends of the spring are hooked on their anchor points like they should be. Then wind up the spool tie in the rope, and let it wind in the new rope.
