John Deere STX 38

I cannot get my John Deere STX 38 lawnmower to move. It starts, it engages the gear but the tires will not turn. Neither in forward or reverse. It is not in Park. It was working fine the last time I used it 3 weeks ago. Any ideas of where I should start my troubleshooting? Thanks.

Have you, by any chance, removed either of the rear tires to fix a flat tire issue? If so, the axle key likely has fallen out of the keyway. If only one has fallen out you will have no drive due to the differential tranny. If this is not the case then you need to inspect the tranny belt. You'll need to practically stand on your head to see it on the underside of the tractor...it's tucked up in the chassis quite well, so look closely for it and the condition of it as well as the tension of such.
