Dixon 3014 drive belt problem

How do you loosen the drive belt on a Dixon 3014 to swap out the current engine for a new engine. I can't seem to find a way to reduce the tension on the belt to remove to change the engine.

I don't know Dixon's at all as I've never seen one let alone worked on one. But, I can say that you'll have two belts to be concerned with, not one. Each, if you look closely, will have a spring loaded idler pulley that need to be released of tension.

If you haven't already, go to the 'dixon-ztr.com' website, there you will find under Service and Support the Product Manual Archive, this is where you can download the Owners Manual for your model, in PDF form, looks like your model was made from 1998 to 2002. I'm assuming the owners manual will show procedure for changing belts.
good luck,
thanks,
