Craftsman Chainsaw 15 second stall

I own an older craftsman chainsaw (12-15yrs old) that I received used. It is 16in, manual choke with no safety features and starts every time with a couple of pulls. The problem is that it completely stalls no matter what I am doing with it at the time after exactly 15 seconds. I can be cutting, or just standing there revving the engine and it stalls at almost the exact same time. I have changed the spark plug but I don't know what else is serviceable. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Does it start right back up, or does it have to sit for a minute before it will start? If it doesn't start immediately, pull the plug and check for spark. If none, I'd suspect the coil. If there is spark, I might suspect a plugged vent in the gas cap.
