Craftsman 2400 PSI Pressure Washer Pump Overhaul

I recently took apart said pump because water was getting into the oil tank. According to mechanic, problem might be worn O rings and found them to be the case. Anyway, I've ordered the service kit from sears and it dawned on me that replacing all the ring would be easy enough except that I do not know if I should fill the assembly with some oil/lubricant. Nowhere in user's manual deals with overhaul of the pump and I'm at loss as to what to do next. Please advice or direct me to some site that will help.

I don't know what pump you have. Some just take sae30 oil. Call sears service/support and ask if you can't find any info about it in the manual.

The pumps I've dealt with always stressed you have to use a non-detergent oil. One recommended either 20W or 10W-30, but, had to be non-detergent.
Places that sell pressure washers should have a suitable oil.
