Echo Snow Blower

Model # ST1033E Code #6329

Model # 5001304340016

Problem: After about 10 feet of motion, all motion ceases

What I have tried: Put on brand new #40 chain, started up, engine still runs fine.

Put in gear and it goes forward ten feet and stops and binds up and no longer has motion forward or backward, engine still runs fine. Chain off on left side sprocket. Have a little play in the bearings. Would this cause the problem?

Appreciate any help. I will be glad to call someone to discuss this if they have the manual as I can't find anyone with any knowledge of this machine here in Maine.

Thank you.

Pat

I know little to nothing about snowblowers, but for a chain to come off, it just about has to be improper alignment of the sprockets (the bad bearings you mentioned), badly worn sprocket(s), and/or a twisted/damaged chain.
