removing inlet needle

how do you remove the inlet needle on a toro snowmaster 20 snowblower i can't get a socket to fit nothing fits i can't remove it is there a tool i need how much does that run.

Socket

It's a 9/32" socket but you will have to bevel the tip of the socket on a grinder so that the end of the socket can fit in the recess.
