White Snowblower auger replacment

White Snowblower auger replacment

I have a 10.5 hp White snowblower an the auger shaft is broken. I am trying to remove tohe auger to replace the shaft but cant seem to get it off. Does anyone know how the auger comes off.

You do have the auger assy out of the collector, correct?? I assume this is an older unit & you have removed the shear bolts. Quite often the augers sieze to the shaft. if this is you're case, try to press it out on a press. You can try to heat the auger tube with an acetelyne torch while pressing it or if worse comes to worse, You'll have to cut it off the shaft Sometimes these older units can be tough!!!
