Replace Spacers on Craftsman (MTD) Snowthrower

I have a 9HP Craftsman Snowthrower model 247.88790. It is manufactured by MTD. The other day I ran over a cord and sheared of the shear pin (good thing). Unfortunately, it also pulled the auger axle out of the bearing housing and dinged up a couple of the plastic spacers on the auger axle (1 on each side). How do I pull off the auger axle to slide off the auger blades in order to replace the bent plastic spacers and get the auger axle back into the bearing housing. I know how to take out the shear pins, I'm just not sure how to remove the auger blades. Please help.

You seem to be missing a number from the model #. Regardless they are all pretty much the same process. You will need to remove bucket from the tractor, probably 6 bolts. Then remove auger pulley, then remove bolts on both sides of the bucket and entire auger assembly can be pulled out from bucket. You can then replace any damaged parts and reassemble
