water leakeage B&D pressure washer 1600psi

Hi, I bought the referenced pressure washer from Amazon.
After plugging the hose, etc, I made a test. The motor started to charge pressure, water supply was ok and working, and it took a while until I pressed the trigger to check the water flow. Immediately, it started to leak water in the base (like a fine shower from a gasket, under the cover) and at the same time, water was able to get through with let's say 30% of the real pressure (PSI 1600!!)

What could it be? would it be worst to check the gasket by my own or take it to the service? (no warranty available)
is this usual in this model?

thanks for any guidance

Mx

No warranty? Was it advertised as being a defective unit and sold "as is"? If not, I'd demand service or refund.

I suspect the unloader valve didn't unload, and it blew out an or-ring and possibly ruined other parts as well. If you're mechanically inclined, take a look. There are lots of parts and some springs, so be careful and take note of how everything was assembled so you can keep it in order upon reassembly.
