homelite textron snowblower

I recently acquired a ford hydrostatic lawn/garden tractor with a homelite textron snowblower(model #UT36019). The kohler engine on the tractor was made in 1974 so I assume the snowblower is from the same era. The snowblower mounts on the front of the tractor and is powered by belt to a gear box that has an output shaft. The problem is at the end of that shaft where the yoke on the connecting universal is broken. I have not been able to locate any information on this machine and need someone to steer me to a yoke and universal for this machine. Any help would be appreciated. thanks,

Does it look like this one? Your UT # did not come up, are
there any other model numbers anywhere?
Is it the same color as the tractor?

I hope this link works, the site would not let me add an attachment. If it does not come up, p.m. me and I can e-mail it to you.

homelite frustration

Hey Fish, thanks for the reply. there are no other numbers that look like a model number. The only other number there is AD2840006 which I assumed was a serial number. The machine is all white, the ford tractor is blue. Besides the initial belt and shaft, everything is chain driven. The site didn't come up as you can see but I think I know where the picture is on your computer.

The ut# of the pic I e-mailed you is ut-59805, and the
auger is 42". The lookup didn't show too many snowblower
attachments, so hopefully it is the correct one.
Is there a way to post attachments on the forum? It
would be an asset for everyone here for me to put up
parts lists.

homelite snowblower

fish, thanks for the diagram. It appears to be identical to my machine. Looks like the part I need is the end of part
#1. Probably have to get the whole assembly , if it's still available. I checked the homelite site to find model ut59805,but came up empty. I'll check Hawkins bros. Monday, since Homelite says they have their obsolete parts inventory. Do you know of any others? Where did you find the diagram? It would be nice to have a part # to give them.
thanks

The part numbers are on the way. I will try to find you the part too on Mon.
You might take the old one by some tractor/trailer shops,
as the u-joint size is the same as tractor/truck's steering
components.

homelite snowblower

You were right. found the u-joint in an auto parts store . Thanks for the help. I'd still like to find some more info about the machine, in case it needs something later, but this should get it going.
thanks,
