Kohler 11HP Governor adjustment

I have a 11 HP Kohler engine on a Champion air compressor and I need to know how to properly adjust the governor. When it is running, pumping air it seams to be running at to many RPMs. Any help would be great.

I don't know what engine you have to give specific details, but generally you would set the carb and throttle linkage to full throttle, loosen the governor arm where it connects to the shaft coming out of the engine, turn the shaft to the direction that would put the throttle as far open as it would go, (if it was not loose) and tighten it.
