Tecumseh 9hp trouble.

A friend of mine recently gav me an old go kart frame fitted with a Tecumseh 9hp engine on it. (OH318 Model 209102, as far as I can tell) The engine will start easily, but quickly dies. I have taken the carb apart and thouroughly cleaned it, but did not notice a difference. The carb is:http://www.partstree.com/parts/?lc=t...CA181640289-CA

Am i missing somehting simple, or do I have bad parts in the carb?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I'm a thinking not so much a matter of bad parts as it is that carb is still clogged up.Take the bowl back off and make sure that the little holes in the main jet are clear(PN-36). then take parts 33 to 37 out and do the same with the bowl.
sometimes tho there is just no fixing those plastic bowls. And you have to replace them.
