sinthetic oil vurse reg oil?

I ma building a racing mower and was wondering if i should u sinthetic or reguler oil? whats the binnifit of one another? Thanks Joe

Use synthetic. That is all I will use now. I use it in my truck and in my snowblower. Synthetic lubricates so much better. Yes, it cost more but is well worth it. I use Royal Purple, available at NAPA Auto Parts.

as far as the diffrence does the moter run better and smother and have less wear Thanks Joe

You will have much less wear with synthetic if not any at all. I used to race lawn mowers, both oval and drag, and before switching to synthetic I'd have to recondition the engines in the middle of the season. Mind you, the engines turn anywhere from 5000 to 7200 rpm's and we had a 12 race season with the oval racers. With synthetic oil I could go 2-3 seasons without any signs of wear.
