Bolens Troubles

Hi,

I have a Bolens St125 Lawn tractor. I was trying to remove a rear wheel account of a flat and I broke something in the rear end. The rear axel is coming out. The tractor has a hydrostatic drive controled by a foot pedal. Does anyone know how to repair this.

I still cannot get the wheel off the axel, I guess it is rusted to it.

I really need this tractor repaired because of some health problems and this is about the only kind of tractor I can use to cut my grass.

I would really appreciate any information and advice.

Thanks,

Fumbles

A lot of the transaxles, if not most or all, will have a large circlip on the axle on the inside of case, similar to the one you removed on the outside to remove the wheel, that keeps the axle from coming out.
A lot of mower's owners manual will suggest you remove the back wheels once a year and grease, now we know why^_^.
If you post the real model and serial nos from the this unit, or, the model no of the transaxle, we can better help.
In any event, the case will have to be separated to repair.
hope this helps,
thanks,
